The SEC wants the stock touting faxes
I recently submitted my inquiry though the SEC complaint form—complaint info
The SEC response:
Dear Ms. Baker,
Thank you for writing to us. Rest assured, we are indeed interested in unsolicited faxes which tout securities. If you receive such faxes electronically, you can e-mail them to us as attachments here at
. If it’s a standard paper fax, you can fax it to the Enforcement Complaint Center at (202) 942-7262.
Thanks again for writing.
Sincerely,
William Hankins
Senior Counsel
Division of Enforcement

I keep getting these junk faxes and Id like to know why you dont do anything about these illegal advertisements.
http://junkfax.org/fax/profiles/MarketNewsAlert.htm
“The SEC should put them in jail for penny stock manipulation. Remarkably, there isnt an FCC citation against them, a credit to the extremely low profile that they have there is no response number on their faxes because your response is to buy the stock they are trying to hype. However, the real reason is the disclaimer. By putting on that disclaimer, they basically are untouchable by the SEC.”
By including a disclaimer, they can lie as much as they want and not even disclosing the true identity and contact information for the faxer.
Also, I noticed that you ask for e-mailed advertisements to be mailed to you, so why dont you care about faxes?
Ill greatly appreciate your response,
Christine Baker

So—I wonder what they do with the faxes. I read at their site that investigations are secret.
