11/24/04:  173 SPAMS including 30 mortgage spams - Happy Thanksgiving!

The screenshot of the SPAM at Fight Back!!!

Out of the 30 mortgage spams, only 7 showed up in a search for “mortgage”. I can’t use a spam filter anyway because obviously about 50% of reader mail is about mortgages.

I wished I had the time and resources to set up 30 phone numbers and fill out 30 applications to see who contacts me.

It seems that there should be at least a couple of spam haters already tracking down the mortgage spam. Out of all the spam I get, the mortgage spam is the easiest to trace - leading to real US companies doing business here. Or to phishers.

The pill spammers are often from overseas and I tried to ID a company in FL one time, but they canceled my order—wouldn’t ship to my PMB. Of course that’s a moot point now, since the morons in Congress specifically allow spamming and there’s no private cause of action.

However, since the CAN SPAM Act doesn’t preempt unfair and deceptive practices state laws related to spam and most mortgage spam contains outright lies, those are claims that can be litigated - IF you can hold the companies who finance the spammers liable.

Most spam contained obviously false claims, I’ve added highlights to the subjects in brackets [...]

One spam was for dealing with internet mortgage leads. If they spam for that, you can imagine how many scummy mortgage outfits like Ameriquest and loan agents are spamming.

In case you’re new here. my interest is of course due to my active suit against Ameriquest.

The lying bastards at Ameriquest think they can hide behind spammers like Anthony Ferlanti, Panda Management, dba Lead Jungle a spammer so offensive even a porn site terminated their affiliate relationship.

And then there’s that scummy outfit called LowerMyBills.com - paying up to $40 for every mortgage LEAD—not closed loan. It’s quite likely that Ameriquest buys leads from lowermybills.com. I’m going to try to subpoena more info from lowermybills.com.

Here’s my correspondense with LowerMyBills.com.

I am so fed up with the crap. Unfortunately, the only bright side to all the fraud and deception is that it’s quite likely that America will self destruct due to the corruption and greed - prevalent in the corporate and legislative ranks as well as in the majority of the population.

Happy Thanksgiving!
